Esqui (“we”, “our”, or “the app”) is a mobile app for cross-country ski athletes and their
technicians to track equipment, wax sessions, training and race logs, results, and travel.
This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Who this applies to
This policy applies to anyone who creates an Esqui account or uses the app, including
athletes, technicians, and coaches.
Information we collect
- Account information: email address, password (stored securely by our auth provider), display name, and role (athlete or technician/coach).
- Profile information: optional FIS code and FIS profile link, wax terminology preferences, and profile settings you enter.
- Athlete and team data you enter or sync: equipment (skis, boots, poles), wax sessions, diary entries, race results, and travel/trip information.
- Technician–athlete relationships: link requests and approvals between technicians and athletes so the right people can view the right data.
- Technical data: standard app and server logs needed to operate the service (for example errors, authentication events). We do not use the app for cross-app advertising tracking.
How we use information
- To provide the app: sign-in, sync your data, show it to you and to technicians you explicitly link with.
- To let you export your data (for example CSV or Excel) when you choose to from the app.
- To maintain security and fix problems.
We do not sell your personal information.
Who can see your data
Your data is private to your account except where the app is designed to share it:
- Athletes see their own data. Linked technicians can see an athlete’s data only after the athlete approves the link.
- Technicians see data for athletes they are approved to work with, and trips they manage.
- We do not make athlete data public or searchable in the App Store listing.
Where data is stored
Account and app data are stored in secure cloud infrastructure (Supabase / hosted database).
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS). You are responsible for keeping
your login credentials private.
Third-party services
- Authentication and database hosting (Supabase) — processes account sign-in and stores app data according to their terms and security practices.
- FIS website links — if you add a FIS profile URL, the app may open that page in your browser. We do not control FIS’s site or policies.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account from the app:
Profile → Delete account. That permanently deletes your account and
associated data on our servers (subject to normal backup retention by our hosting
provider for a limited time).
Children
Esqui is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal
information from children under 13.
Your choices
- Update profile and email settings in the app.
- Export your data from Profile → Backup & export.
- Delete your account as described above.
- Contact us with questions or requests (see below).
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new date at the top of this
page. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
